Blue September is an international initiative facing up to men's cancers, with a particular focus on prostate cancer. Donations support prostate cancer research, support services and awareness campaigns, and are handled through secure donation options with partner fundraising platforms.
- Proceeds support prostate cancer research and patient support services.
- Funds help raise awareness through campaign events such as Blue Friday, Dawn Walks, motorbike shows and charity gigs.
- Donations can be directed to a specific event or fundraiser where one is listed.
- Everyday Hero is used as a partner fundraising platform for contributions.
Why support the cause
Blue September works with prostate cancer organisations and supporters around the world. Earlier fundraising milestones show the reach of the campaign: in New Zealand, PlaceMakers raised $70,000 for Blue September on 19 November 2009, presenting the cheque to Barry Young of the Prostate Cancer Foundation, and the Nock brothers raised more than $5,000 in October 2009.
Partner helplines are also available in Australia, including the confidential 13 11 20 line for the cost of a local call and Cancer Council helplines in each state and territory.
